There is no need to drill holes in either walls or glass: all you need to do is to have a window or French window within 1 meter of the equipment and insert the pipe union between the shutters of the window frame (see illustrations).

Connection via window shutters
If there is no hole in the window for connecting the duct, it can be placed between the window shutters.
