Chiller systems consist of a unit placed outside (chiller) connected to one or more units placed inside (A.T.U. Air Handling Unit): the water cooled by the chiller is sent to the A.T.U., which by means of a fan spreads the cold air throughout the room.

COMPONENTS OF A CHILLER SYSTEM
- Chiller: the core, installed outside the room cools the water that is sent to the AHU (air handling unit). It also works as a heat pump.
- Flexible PVC conduit: used for air supply and eventual air return
- Vents: can be left free or used to channel air through flexible conduits (point 2)
- AHU (Air Handling Unit): inside is a centrifugal fan that pushes cold air towards the vents
- Hydraulic connections
Powers from 6 to 250 kW: for very large volumes (industrial, hotel, catering, sports events and gyms): this is a chiller unit equipped with a control unit for easy management. With a reinforced structure and particularly robust construction, our chillers have been modified and prepared for hire, already complete with:
- hydraulic pump;
- inertial tank;
- condensation control;
Chiller rental is feasible in a wide variety of usage situations. Our chillers are fitted with a single compressor in the 25 and 43 kW models, two compressors in the larger sizes: complete with “partialisation steps” that allow partial or full utilisation. The connection to the AHU (Air Handling Unit that conveys the air inside the environment to be treated: it can be“open vent” or ducted) is already complete with “speed regulator” to control the air flow rate. OUTDOOR AIR HANDLING UNIT
In this example, the AHU (air handling unit) is placed outside and the cold air is channeled inside. This solution is adopted when there is a particular aesthetic requirement or when the space available inside is not sufficient.
INDOOR AIR HANDLING UNIT
In this example, the AHU (air handling unit) is placed inside the room to be conditioned. This solution is the most suitable for maximum yield and energy saving: in fact the AHU “recycles” the air.
AESTHETIC FINISHING WORKS
For special aesthetic requirements, it is possible to create ad hoc ducting in special rigid material, so the installation will look like a fixed installation.
